That's why I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute online chat, giving us the opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether we're the right fit to work together. There's no pressure and no expectation to continue—just a relaxed, confidential conversation to help you take the next step with confidence.


Cancellation Policy

Thank you for reaching out. I appreciate that taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, and I'd like to thank you for considering me to be part of your journey. To help you get the most from our initial consultation, the following information may be helpful. Before We Meet * There is no need to prepare anything formal. * You don't need to have the "right words" or know exactly what you want to say. Many people arrive feeling unsure where to begin, and that's completely okay. * Simply come as you are. If it helps, you may wish to spend a few moments reflecting on: * What has brought you to seek therapy at this time. * What you would like life to look like if things began to improve. * Any questions you may have about therapy or how I work. Our First Conversation * Our initial consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about: * What has brought you to therapy. * The difficulties you're currently experiencing. * Any relevant background information. * What you're hoping to achieve through therapy. How I work and whether my approach feels like the right fit for you. * This is also your opportunity to ask any questions you may have. * There is no pressure or expectation to continue after our first meeting. Finding the right therapist is important, and it's perfectly okay if you decide that someone else may be a better fit. If We Are Meeting Online Please try to: * Join the session a few minutes early. * Test your camera and microphone beforehand. * Choose a quiet, private space where you won't be interrupted. * Silence your phone and any smart devices. * Have a drink nearby if you'd like one. * Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Your privacy and confidentiality are important. Please make sure no one else is present or able to overhear our conversation unless we have agreed this beforehand. During Our Work Together * Therapy is most effective when we work collaboratively. * You are always free to: * Ask questions. * Tell me if something doesn't feel right. * Slow things down if you feel overwhelmed. * Share feedback about how you're experiencing our work together. * There is no judgement and no expectation to disclose anything before you feel ready. *We will always work at a pace that feels safe for you. * Sessions begin and finish at the agreed time. * Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
